Ramadan fasting without the headache

The fasting month of Ramadan is an annual religious practice of Muslims prior to the “Hari Raya Puasa” celebration. During the one-month period, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset (participants abstain from eating, drinking and smoking for 29 to 30 days). Many people who fast over Ramadan suffer mild or moderate headaches as a result of factors such as hypoglycemia, caffeine withdrawal, change in sleep patterns and the stress of fasting itself.

In a prospective study carried out over four months at the University of Malaya - two months before, the month of Ramadan and one month after. Eighty-three subjects were given headache diaries over this time and at the end of each month the severity of headache was quantified using the Chronic Pain Grade. They found that the pain intensity increased in 48% of the subjects. They concluded that fasting over Ramadan was a significant precipitating factor for headache.

EAST AFRICA CRISIS APPEAL

UPDATE 1:
Islamic Relief is responding to the devastating crisis which is threatening people across East Africa.   The full scale of the situation has emerged, due to several years without sufficient rainfall, rising food prices, devastated farmlands and failed harvests.

The United Nations have estimated that 10 million people are now in need of immediate humanitarian assistance. This has quickly become the worst drought in over 60 years. It is now vital that the international community respond as quickly as possible.

However, Islamic Relief has been on the ground delivering vital aid and assistance for many years.  Countless lives have been saved through our projects in the affected countries of Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia. We are now appealing for more funds to reach the rapidly growing number of people in need.

With your help we can make a world of difference. Please donate your zakaah, lillah, sadaqah, fitrah and fidya to Islamic Relief SA.

Returning back home - A note on fasting

One is placed in the womb and slowly you grow and start to form. Your once alien like appearance slowly begins to take shape and becomes almost human, time passes and then finally you are born, born only to die again and to return to your creator. This is promised to us by religion, promised on the condition that we live good lives and be lead away from temptation, lives filled with self-control. Fasting for the month of Ramadaan is seen as a form of self-control for Muslims and that special time of the year is soon approaching yet again.
A temple was built in the holy city of Mecca known as the Ka’bah, this temple was built for the people to worship One Divine God. However the people were misled and idol-worship took place.

Always load the Optimized defaults after updating Samsung R410-FA0C Bluetooth Driver the BIOS or after clearing the CMOS values.

There were people who chose to defy this idol worshiping, instead they searched for truth. Profit Muhammad (pbuh) was one of those who searched for the truth. Every year for one month the Profit (pbuh) would take his family to mount Hira, they would meditate, this took place in the month of Ramadaan, this is also were the Profit got his first revelation. And to this day Muslims all over fast in this holy month.
Fasting in the month of Ramadaan is the forth pillar of Islam, when Muslims fasts this not only entails them going with out food and drink but also sexual intercourse smoking and acting unkindly. All Muslims are required to fast unless they have not yet hit puberty, if they are ill and too weak to fast, or if they are not mentally

Ya Ayyuhal Ladinna Ammanu! It is said that Ibadah without “the presence of the heart” is of no avail and that Almighty Allah’s words, which are addressed to all mankind and not to one people, should be studied with the heart and tongue in absolute accord. Our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam said: “It is not a sixth nor a tenth of a persons devotion which is acceptable to Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala, but only such portion thereof as he or she offers with understanding and with
